Bromic Platinum Electric Radiant Heater

by Bromic
$1,799.99
Color: Black

The heater you feel but barely notice.

The Platinum Electric is the one architects specify. A slim ceramic glass face that disappears into a soffit or ceiling, no visible element, no orange glow, and dimming down to the exact level you want. It heats the people below it rather than the air, and it does it quietly.

Is this the right heater for you?

Choose the Platinum Electric if you:

  • Care how the heater looks as much as how it performs
  • Are building or renovating and can plan wiring before the ceiling closes up
  • Want dimming rather than just on and off
  • Have a covered patio, soffit or modern build where a bulky heater would ruin the line
  • Have 220-240V available, or 208V in a commercial build

If you want the same heat for less money and care less about the look, the Tungsten Electric is the workhorse alternative.

Pick your output

Sizes and finishes are selected in the options above.

Output Sized for
2300W A balcony, a compact nook, or a supplementary unit in a larger layout
3400W A standard covered patio or a seating area
4500W Larger spaces, higher ceilings, or commercial patios

Available in black or white, in 220-240V residential and 208V commercial. Both finishes perform identically.

Higher ceiling? Size up. Infrared loses intensity over distance, so a unit mounted high needs more output to land the same warmth at seated height. Call us at 1 (888) 851-8852 and we will work it out.

Mount it at the right height

Bromic recommends mounting between 8 and 10 feet above the finished floor. This is the range where the heat arrives at full strength.

The common mistake is a beautiful vaulted ceiling with heaters mounted at the peak. By the time the infrared travels that far it has spread too thin to feel on a cold night. If your design forces a higher mount, size up rather than accept weak output.

Designed to disappear

The ceramic glass face means no visible heating element and no glare. Low profile, so it sits close to a soffit or ceiling rather than hanging into the space. Recess kits are available where you want it flush with the ceiling entirely.

Black suits dark cedar, painted soffits and modern industrial builds. White works with composite ceilings and lighter timber.

No pilot, no tank, no refills

Hardwired into a 220-240V circuit, or 208V commercial. Nothing to refill and no flame to blow out, which makes electric the more reliable choice on an exposed site. Budget for a licensed electrician, and confirm your panel has the capacity before you order.

Dimming and zones

Electric gives you control gas cannot. With an Affinity Smart-Heat Dimmer you adjust output in 1 percent increments from your phone, set schedules, and run separate zones so you only heat where people are.

Controller Best for Zones
Affinity Smart-Heat Dimmer Variable output, scheduling, app control 1 or 2
Affinity Smart-Heat On/Off Straightforward on and off at full power 1 or 2
Affinity Expansion Board Connecting to home or building automation Add-on

Questions before you buy
  • Which output do I need? 2300W for a balcony or compact space, 3400W for a standard covered patio, 4500W for larger areas or higher ceilings. If you are between sizes, or mounting high, go up.
  • How high should it be mounted? Between 8 and 10 feet above the finished floor. Higher than that and you lose intensity before it reaches anyone.
  • Will my panel handle it? A 4500W heater is a serious load. Have your electrician confirm capacity before you order.
  • Does it need a licensed electrician? Yes. Hardwired install only.
  • Black or white? Both available across all outputs. No performance difference.
  • Can it be recessed? Yes. Recess kits and low clearance recess kits are available.
  • Can I dim it? Yes, in 1 percent increments with an Affinity Dimmer.
  • How is this different from the Tungsten Electric? Same idea, different finish and profile. The Platinum uses a ceramic glass face and a slimmer housing built to blend into architecture. The Tungsten is the more affordable workhorse.
  • Do you ship across Canada? Yes, free.
