Questions before you buy
How long does a tank last?
Around 9 hours on a 20 lb tank at moderate output, less at full output, longer if you run it lower. A 30 lb tank also fits the base.
How heavy is it, can I move it alone?
It rolls on built-in wheels, so one person moves it across flat ground with no lifting. It is not a carry-up-the-stairs item.
Can I leave it outside year-round?
Yes, it is built for outdoor use in Canadian conditions in 304-grade stainless. For the longest life, use the cover when it is not running, and over deep winter the top separates from the base for easy storage.
Does it work in the wind?
The infrared is not affected by wind, and it is rated to 8 mph. Wind chill still cools you and a strong gust can blow out any gas pilot, so on an exposed site block the wind with glass or a railing.
