Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat Electric Patio Heater
Wall-mounted infrared warmth with no gas line, no tank, and nothing to refill.
The Tungsten Smart-Heat Electric runs on the same wiring that powers your house. Hardwire it once, flip the switch, and you have directional infrared heat pointed exactly where people sit. No fuel delivery, no tanks to swap, no combustion.

Is this the right heater for you?
Choose the Tungsten Electric if you:
- Have no gas line, or do not want one run
- Have a covered patio, pergola or balcony with limited overhead clearance
- Want dimming control that gas cannot match
- Are on an exposed site where a gas pilot could blow out
- Have 220-240V available, or 208V in a commercial build
Check your panel capacity before you commit. A 6000W heater is a real load and not every home has the headroom.
Pick your wattage
Sizes and finishes are selected in the options above. Current pricing shows against each option.
| Output | Heat | Sized for |
|---|---|---|
| 3000W | 10,000 BTU | Balcony or compact covered nook |
| 4000W | 13,000 BTU | Small porch or a four-person bistro area |
| 6000W | 20,000 BTU | Standard deck or full pergola. Most popular |
Available in black or white, in 220-240V residential and 208V commercial. Both finishes use the same housing and perform identically.
Between sizes? Go up. Call us at 1 (888) 851-8852 and five minutes on the phone beats sending back the wrong unit.
Hardwire it once, then forget it is there
No tanks, no gas line, no combustion. Hardwires into a 220-240V circuit, or 208V commercial, and runs silently. Budget for a licensed electrician the same way you would for a hot tub or an EV charger. Most installs are a half day for someone who has done one before.
Better in wind than gas
There is no pilot flame to blow out, so an electric heater keeps running on an exposed site where a gas unit can go out. The infrared itself is unaffected by wind either way, though wind chill still affects how warm you feel. On a genuinely windy deck, blocking the wind does more than adding capacity.
Built for Canadian seasons
Stainless housing rated for outdoor installation, through rain, snow and freeze-thaw. Standard wall bracket included. Ceiling mount hardware is available for pergola and beam installs, and recess kits are available where you want it flush.
How do you want to control it?
Electric gives you dimming that gas cannot. All current Bromic controls are the Affinity Smart-Heat range, which is app based.
| Controller | Best for | Zones |
|---|---|---|
| Affinity Smart-Heat Dimmer | Variable output in 1 percent increments, scheduling, app control | 1 or 2 |
| Affinity Smart-Heat On/Off | Straightforward on and off at full power | 1 or 2 |
| Wireless On/Off Controller | A physical remote rather than a phone | 1 |
| Affinity Expansion Board | Connecting to home or building automation | Add-on |

Questions before you buy
- Which wattage do I need? 3000W for a balcony, 4000W for a small porch or bistro area, 6000W for a standard deck or full pergola. If you are between sizes, go up.
- What voltage does it need? 220-240V for residential, 208V for commercial builds. Call if you are not sure what your panel runs.
- Will my panel handle it? A 6000W heater draws real current. Ask your electrician to confirm capacity before you order, since adding service is an easy cost to miss.
- Does it need a licensed electrician? Yes. Hardwired install only.
- Black or white? Both available. No performance difference.
- Can I control it remotely? Yes, with any Affinity controller, or a wireless on and off controller if you want a physical remote.
- Can I mount it under a pergola? Yes. Electric has no combustion gases to vent, so clearances are less strict than gas. Ceiling mount hardware and recess kits are available.
- How does running cost compare to gas? Electric costs more per hour than natural gas in most provinces, but there is no gas line to install. Over a patio season the difference is usually modest. Check your own rate per kWh to work out your number.
- Do you ship across Canada? Yes, free.
